Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait launched the Skills Development Program for Young Kuwaiti Fresh Graduates, in cooperation with Moody’s Analytics, where it selected a group of Kuwaiti graduates in various disciplines such as engineering, finance and business administration.

The program aims to develop the skills of newly graduated Kuwaiti graduates, in cooperation with Moody’s, through independent curricula to provide participants with the skills and practical knowledge to hone their professional skills necessary to achieve the career advancement they aspire to in the banking field.

In a statement, the bank indicated that under this new and comprehensive 12-month program, participants will begin to develop basic credit skills, sales and service skills, analytical skills and credit reporting.

CEO of Al-Ahly Kuwait-Kuwait, Louay Moqamis, said that human capital is one of the most important and valuable assets in the bank, and that establishing a solid base of the national workforce is a necessary requirement to support its comprehensive growth strategy.

He added that the Al-Ahly program to develop the skills of newly graduated employees, in cooperation with Moody’s, is one of the many strategic initiatives launched as part of the bank’s commitment to instilling and enriching a solid work culture based on performance.

He affirmed the bank’s belief in the effectiveness of learning and development, which contributes to raising the level of technical skills, by creating opportunities for further development at all levels, indicating that the main pillar in its selection strategy is to attract superior talents who have been motivated and directed, and to give them room for further development to take over Senior leadership positions in the future.

He stressed Al-Ahly’s firm commitment to support the youth in Kuwait and its effective role, especially in pushing the process of Emiratisation within the country, by employing and developing Kuwaiti citizens, giving them jobs in the banking sector and enriching banking knowledge in Kuwait.

E-Learning Solutions

The Bank’s partnership with Percipio and Intuition offers its employees a wide range of learning solutions covering soft and technical skills, delivered through various programmes.

The bank also provides unlimited training programs for all employees through the “LinkedIn” platform, allowing them to view a distinguished set of programs and courses.

The development programs provided provide for more than one annual training schedule that is run internally and through the Institute of Banking Studies (IBS), as 925 employees completed about 15 working hours in 2020/2021.

The year 2020, witnessed the implementation of the Bank’s Information Technology Academy, a 6-month intensive program on the main information technology systems used in it, including the “Finacle core banking solution”, the “PowerCARD” system, “Microsoft” and “Oracle” solutions. Main.

The program taught not only technical knowledge, but also provided employees with the technical and personal skills needed to prepare them for entry into the field of work, enabling them to develop careers as IT professionals in the banking industry.
